Shining | Blackjazz | CD

Shining is a Swedish extreme metal band formed in 1996. Its music incorporates many doom metal elements, and its depressive undertones and mostly suicide-themed lyrics have led to it often being called suicidal black metal, although the band itself says it is not a black metal band.

Blackjazz is a CD album by Shining, released in 2010 by Indie Recordings in Norway. It has one disc and is in the jazz rock, black metal, industrial, avantgarde and experimental styles. Jørgen Munkeby is credited with writing the music, singing, and playing guitar and saxophone, and The Mad Monk is credited as producer. The credits also include Tor Egil Kreken on bass, Torstein Lofthus on drums, Even Helte Hermansen on guitar and Bernt A Moen on keyboards and synthesizer.
