Silversun Pickups | Carnavas | CD

Silversun Pickups are an American band from Los Angeles whose recordings connect alternative rock with shoegaze textures. Distorted guitars, prominent bass and carefully layered arrangements support Brian Aubert's vocals, allowing the songs to move between understated passages and denser, louder sections.

Released in 2006, Carnavas is the band's debut full-length album. It develops the sound introduced by their earlier EP through substantial guitar textures and contrasting dynamics, with songs such as Lazy Eye showing the interplay between gradual development and melodic structure.
