Simply Red-Blue | Simply Red-Blue | CD

Simply Red is a British soul and pop band formed in Manchester in 1984 by lead vocalist and songwriter Mick Hucknall, with three former members of The Durutti Column, Sylvan Richardson and Fritz McIntyre. The band signed to Elektra Records and released its debut album Picture Book in October 1985. By 1996 Hucknall was the only remaining original member, and after being dropped by EastWest in 2000 the band set up the website simplyred.com, which became its own label. Their biggest hits include It's Only Love and If You Don't Know Me By Now, both from 1989.

This is a single CD album, Simply Red's Blue, released in Europe in 1998 on the EastWest label. Mick Hucknall and AGM are credited as producers, and David Whitaker arranged and conducted the Pro Arte Orchestra of London. Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare are credited on drums and bass, and Mick Hucknall is credited on vocals.
