Simply Red | Original Album Series | 5CD

Simply Red is a British soul and pop band formed in Manchester in 1984 by lead vocalist and songwriter Mick Hucknall, with three former members of The Durutti Column, Sylvan Richardson and Fritz McIntyre. The band signed to Elektra Records and released its debut album Picture Book in October 1985. By 1996 Hucknall was the only remaining original member, and after being dropped by EastWest in 2000 the band set up the website simplyred.com, which became its own label. Their biggest hits include It's Only Love and If You Don't Know Me By Now, both from 1989.

Original Album Series is a five disc CD box set by Simply Red, released by EastWest on 21 March 2011. It collects five original albums, originally released between 1985 and 1995.
