Small Faces | Transmission (2lp) | 2LP
Small Faces is an English rock band from East London, formed in 1965 by Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenny Jones and Jimmy Winston, with Ian McLagan replacing Winston as keyboardist by 1966. The band was initially influenced by American rhythm and blues and is remembered as one of the most influential mod groups of the 1960s, with hits such as Itchycoo Park, Lazy Sunday, All or Nothing and Tin Soldier. They evolved into one of the UK's most successful psychedelic acts of the late 1960s before disbanding in early 1969.
Transmission 1965-1968 is an unofficial release by Small Faces, issued as a double vinyl LP on Expensive Woodland Recordings in 2023. The recordings are taken from broadcasts, including Saturday Club, the Joe Loss Pop Show, Top Gear and German and French television shows, dated between 1965 and 1968.
