Sonata Arctica | TalviyÖ | CD

Sonata Arctica is a Finnish power metal band from Kemi, Finland, active since 1999. The band was founded in 1996 as the hard rock band Tricky Beans, later Tricky Means, and took the name Sonata Arctica in 1999 when its style had changed into power metal and it needed a more heavy metal name. Tony Kakko has sung for the band since 1996, and the current line-up also includes Tommy Portimo on drums, Henrik Klingenberg on keyboards, Elias Viljanen on guitar and Pasi Kauppinen on bass.

Talviyö is a limited edition CD album on Nuclear Blast, with the release date given as 27 May 2022. It is a collection of pieces linked by a theme, though not enough to be a closed concept work, according to singer and composer Tony Kakko.
