Sonny Landreth is an American guitarist and songwriter closely associated with Louisiana's blues and roots music. His distinctive slide-guitar technique allows melody, rhythm and harmony to overlap, creating fluid performances that draw on blues, rock and the musical traditions of the Gulf Coast. South of I-10 is his fourth studio album and features guest appearances by Mark Knopfler and Allen Toussaint. Its songs connect slide-driven blues with Cajun and New Orleans influences.
