T-REX | T-rex (Rmst) | CD

T. Rex began as Tyrannosaurus Rex, a British psychedelic folk duo fronted by Marc Bolan (born Mark Feld) with Steve Peregrin Took (born Stephen Porter). The group became glam rock pioneers and shortened its name to T. Rex in 1970. It had a series of UK top ten hits, including four number one singles. In America its only major hit was "Bang a Gong (Get It On)". The band kept a following until Marc Bolan's death in 1977.

T. Rex is a 2016 single-disc CD reissue on Rhino Records in the US, remastered. Tony Visconti produced the album, with Marc Bolan credited on guitar, vocals and bass organ and Mickey Finn on drums, bass, vocals and pixiephone. Songs are credited to Eddie Cochran, Jerry Capehart and Marc Bolan, and the release is in the folk rock and glam styles.
