The Bee Gees | Alternative Spirits | CD

The Bee Gees were a singing trio of brothers who were born on the Isle of Man to English parents and began their musical careers in Brisbane, Australia, before finding worldwide success after returning to the UK. The group sang three-part harmonies and had two distinct periods of exceptional success, first as a harmonic soft rock act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and then as leading stars of the disco era in the late 1970s. They were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as performers in 1997, and all three brothers were given CBEs in the 2001-2002 New Year's Honours List.

Alternative Spirits is an unofficial one disc CD release by Bee Gees, issued by Yard Stick in 2025. The recordings come from the sessions for Spirits Having Flown, made at Criteria Studios in Florida between March and November 1978. The songs are credited to Robin Gibb, Barry Gibb and Maurice Gibb.
