The Cure are a British band led by Robert Smith whose music spans atmospheric post-punk, gothic rock and melodic pop. Their recordings move between spare, introspective arrangements and expansive songs with distinctive guitar and keyboard textures.

Mixes of a Lost World brings together reinterpretations of the Cure's Songs of a Lost World. The two-CD programme, compiled by Robert Smith, includes electronic treatments by Four Tet, Paul Oakenfold and Orbital, giving the original songs new rhythmic and atmospheric settings.
