The Decemberists | Long Live the King | CD

The Decemberists are an American band from Portland led by singer-songwriter Colin Meloy. Their music brings literary storytelling and folk instrumentation into an indie rock setting, using character-driven lyrics and arrangements that range from acoustic intimacy to full-band drama.

Released in 2011, Long Live the King is an EP of material associated with the The King Is Dead sessions. It extends that album's roots-oriented direction through additional songs and interpretations, providing a companion to that period of the band's work.
