The Four Tops | On Top | CD

Four Tops are a U.S. vocal male soul quartet formed in 1953 in Detroit as The Four Aims. The four founding members stayed together for over four decades, until 1997. In the 1960s they were the main male vocal group for the songwriting and production team Holland-Dozier-Holland. The group recorded for Motown, ABC Records, Casablanca Records and Arista, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

This is a single disc CD of Four Tops On Top, the group's third studio album from July 1966, issued on the Motown label as a digitally remastered reissue. Holland and Dozier are credited as producers. The album includes Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever and Shake Me, Wake Me (When It's Over), along with covers of several popular songs of the era.
