Gesualdo Six Owain Park | Radiant Dawn | CD

The Gesualdo Six are a British vocal ensemble directed by Owain Park. Their performances connect early polyphony with contemporary choral writing, placing blend, precise tuning and expressive phrasing at the centre of a repertoire in which each individual vocal line contributes to the sound of the whole.

Radiant Dawn explores ideas of light and shade through choral music from different centuries. The Gesualdo Six are joined by trumpeter Matilda Lloyd, whose instrument can emerge above the vocal texture or blend within it. The contrasting repertoire connects sacred atmosphere with the changing colour of the ensemble.
