The Jesus and Mary Chain | Damage and Joy (2022 Deluxe Reissue) | CD

The Jesus and Mary Chain are a Scottish band centred on brothers Jim and William Reid. Their music combines pop melodies with distorted guitars and restrained vocals, using the contrast between sweetness and abrasive texture as a defining part of their sound.

Released in 2017, Damage and Joy was the band's first studio album since Munki in 1998. Produced with Youth, it reconnects their melodic songwriting and guitar distortion through new recordings, including guest vocal performances that add contrasting voices to the material.
