The Ocean | Fogdiver | CD

The Ocean have been making music since 2001 from Berlin, Germany, which they describe as Ambient Soundtrack Doomrock. Their style combines hardcore punk and modern, technical metal with epic arrangements and classical instrumentation. Since the 2010 album Heliocentric, they have described themselves as a band rather than a large pool of contributing musicians.

Fogdiver is a CD album reissue by The Ocean, released in 2025 by Pelagic Records. The album was originally released in 2003 by Make My Day Records, with music and words credited to Robin Staps and The Ocean. The 2003 line up credits Jonathan Heine on bass, Torge Ließmann on drums, Rebekka Mahnke on cello and Lena Bretschneider on violin.
