The Ocean | Holocene (Instrumental) | CD

The Ocean have been making music since 2001 from Berlin, Germany, which they describe as Ambient Soundtrack Doomrock. Their style combines hardcore punk and modern, technical metal with epic arrangements and classical instrumentation. Since the 2010 album Heliocentric, they have described themselves as a band rather than a large pool of contributing musicians.

Holocene (Instrumental) is the instrumental version of the album Holocene, the tenth studio album by The Ocean and the third and final part of the Phanerozoic concept album trilogy. It is a one disc CD released by Pelagic Records in 2023. Peter Voigtmann and Robin Staps are credited as songwriters, with Steve Thompson on trombone and Fritz Moshammer on trumpet and horn as guest musicians.
