The Ocean | Phanerozoic Live (2cd+Dvd) | 3CD

The Ocean have been making music since 2001 from Berlin, Germany, which they describe as Ambient Soundtrack Doomrock. Their style combines hardcore punk and modern, technical metal with epic arrangements and classical instrumentation. Since the 2010 album Heliocentric, they have described themselves as a band rather than a large pool of contributing musicians.

Phanerozoic Live is a live recording of the Phanerozoic concept album, released in 2021 by Pelagic Records as two CDs and a DVD. The first CD contains the Palaeozoic part recorded in Bremen, and the second contains Mesozoic and Cenozoic from a show streamed at Roadburn Redux. The DVD holds video of both performances, directed by Thomas Lippick.
