The Sisterhood | Gift | CD

The Sisterhood began in 1986 when estranged members of The Sisters Of Mercy, Craig Adams and Wayne Hussey, started touring under the name. Andrew Eldritch responded by enlisting Alan Vega (Suicide), Lucas Fox, Patricia Morrison (The Gun Club), James Ray and Doktor Avalanche, who recorded an album that was released within a week to prevent the name from being used. For contractual reasons Eldritch was not permitted to sing on the album, but he wrote and produced it.

Gift is a remastered 1-disc CD album by The Sisterhood, released by Cadiz Music on 20 January 2023 as a limited edition reissue. Andrew Eldritch is credited with writing the music and producing the album. The featured performers are Alan Vega, Doktor Avalanche, James Ray, Lucas Fox, Patricia Morrison and The Chorus Of Vengeance. The title is the German word for 'poison'.
