Sisters Of Mercy | Floodland | 1LP

The Sisters Of Mercy are a rock band formed in Leeds, UK, in 1980 by singer Andrew Eldritch and guitarist Gary Marx. Their dark subject matter, literary references, cavernous reverb and black record sleeves led the music press to describe them as a goth rock act, though the band has always rejected that description. The band released its debut album, First And Last And Always, in March 1985, after five years of independent releases that had built a large cult following.

This is a 2018 vinyl LP reissue of Floodland, the 1987 album by The Sisters Of Mercy, released by Rhino Records on 15 June 2018 in remastered stereo. The album came from the band's reconfigured line-up led by Andrew Eldritch, with Patricia Morrison on bass, and its production involved Jim Steinman, a writer and producer, and the New York Choral Society.
