Smiths | RANK | 2LP
£37.00
The Smiths were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1982. The group consisted of vocalist Morrissey, guitarist Johnny Marr, bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce. Critics have called them one of the most important bands to emerge from the British independent music scene of the 1980s. Johnny Marr left in July 1987 and the band broke up later that year.
This two-disc vinyl LP edition of Rank by The Smiths was issued by Rhino Records in 2011. Rank is a live album recorded at the National Ballroom in Kilburn, London, and released on 23 October 1986. Morrissey distilled it into fourteen tracks from 21 songs of a complete concert that had earlier been transmitted by BBC Radio 1. Producers credited are Pete Dauncey and Grant Showbiz.
