Statler Brothers | Gold (Rmst) | 2CD

The Statler Brothers were an American country music, gospel and vocal group formed in 1955. Despite the name, none of the members had the surname Statler, and only two were actual brothers. The group named itself after a brand of facial tissue it had noticed in a hotel room. The group disbanded and retired after completing a farewell tour on October 26, 2002.

Gold is a 2 CD compilation of 42 of the group's hits, released on the Chronicles label in 2006. Compilation production is credited to Mike Ragogna and Tommy West, and Jerry Kennedy is credited as producer. The performers credited are Don Reid, Harold Reid, Jimmy Fortune, Lewis De Witt and Phil Balsley.
