The Stupids | The Complete Bbc Peel Sessions | CD
Stupids are a band from Ipswich, England, formed in 1984. They played fast hardcore punk and thrash with US influences, in a scene mostly filled with crusty metal punk and anarcho-punk. Where other bands of the time mostly wrote poignant and political lyrics, Stupids wrote comical lyrics on subjects including the Elephant Man, skateboarding and hating new wave. The band split in 1989 after releasing records on Children Of The Revolution Records and Vinyl Solution.
The Complete BBC Peel Sessions is a 1 CD compilation by Stupids, released on the Boss Tuneage label in the UK in 2008. It collects sessions recorded for the John Peel Show between December 1986 and October 1987, including a session by Frankfurter recorded in April 1987. The styles are hardcore and punk.
