Thorns is a black metal, industrial and electronic band from Trondheim, Norway. The band was founded in 1989 as Stigma Diabolicum by Snorre Ruch and Marius Vold, and was renamed Thorns after Harald Eilertsen and Bård Eithun joined in 1990. The demo recordings Grymyrk, from 1991, and Trøndertun, from 1992, were never officially released but became influential on the early Norse black metal scene. Since 2000 the vocalist has been Bjørn Dencker (Aldrahn).
Stigma Diabolicum 1989 to 1992 is a one-cassette compilation from Kyrck Productions, released in 2025. It brings together rehearsals and demos, including Trøndertun, Grymyrk and other recordings.
