Tina Turner was an American rock singer, actress and author, born on 26 November 1939 in Brownsville, Tennessee, and she died on 24 May 2023 in Küsnacht, Switzerland. She began her career in the 1960s with Ike Turner, with hits including 'River Deep, Mountain High'. Her career was relaunched in the 1980s, and the single 'What's Love Got to Do with It' and the album Private Dancer put her back into the mainstream.
This is a single CD album reissue by Tina Turner, released in Europe by Parlophone in November 2024. The album marked a change from the high-octane rock and soul of Turner's previous albums, blending disco and blues, and Turner had recently separated from Ike Turner, her husband and musical partner. It opens with 'Fruits of the Night', and Bob Monaco produced the album.
