TNT were a UK based hard rock band from Margate in Kent, England. The band was formed in 1981 by guitarists Colin French and Gary Stevenson, drummer Mark Nobby Brett, bass player Nick Williams and lead singer Gary Owen. In 1984 the band changed its name to Sweet Cheater after a legal battle over the TNT name, which was already used by existing French, German and Norwegian groups, and it recorded at least one album under the new name. The band was part of the so-called NWOBHM and split up in 1986.
Back On The Road - The Complete Anthology is a one-disc CD compilation released in 2026 by No Remorse Records. It is in the heavy metal style. Four tracks from 1983 appear to be missing from the release, including a BBC session of Back On The Road.
