Toad The Wet Sprocket | Rock 'N' Roll Runners (Green Vinyl) | 2LP

Toad The Wet Sprocket formed from a school band and was part of the scene around Neal Kay's Bandwagon at the end of the 1970s. The line up was Mehmet Mustafa on vocals, Mark Rideaut on guitar, Pete Austin on bass and Martin Wightwick on drums, with changing keyboard players joining them. The band contributed to the compilation Metal For Muthas and released two 7 inch singles, and its material was very varied.

Rock 'N' Roll Runners is a two disc vinyl retrospective of the band's work, issued by High Roller in 2022. It brings together the two 7 inch singles, Pete's Punk Song and Reaching For The Sky, with material from the BBC Friday Rock Show of 1980 and previously unreleased recordings. The release also includes Blues In A from Metal For Muthas.
