Tom Lehrer | Tom Lehrer In Concert | CD
Tom Lehrer was an American singer-songwriter, satirist, pianist and mathematician, born on 9 April 1928 in Manhattan, New York. Lehrer's style was greatly influenced by musical theatre, and the humour in the songs was dark and witty, unusual for the novelty and satirical music of the 1950s and 1960s. Lehrer began writing comic and novelty songs as an undergraduate at Harvard University in the 1950s, and in 1953 a first album was self-produced and released on Lehrer's own label. Lehrer died at home in Cambridge, Massachusetts on 26 July 2025.
In Concert is a single disc compilation CD on the Eclipse label, released in 2024 for Europe. It brings together two of Tom Lehrer's recordings, An Evening Wasted With Tom Lehrer and Tom Lehrer Revisited, with some tracks in stereo and others in mono. John Tracy compiled the set and is credited as producer.
