Tomahawk is an experimental alternative metal and alternative rock supergroup from the United States. The band formed in 2000 when Mike Patton and Duane Denison began swapping tapes with the intention of collaborating. Duane Denison then recruited John Stanier, while Mike Patton brought in Kevin Rutmanis, who left after the second album, Mit Gas, and was replaced by Trevor Dunn for the fourth album, Oddfellows.
Tonic Immobility is a single-disc CD album by Tomahawk, released in 2021 on Ipecac Recordings. It is the band's fifth full-length album and their first new album since 2013. The album was produced by Paul Allen and Tomahawk, with the songs written by Tomahawk, and Mike Patton provides vocals and samples, with Duane Denison on guitars and keyboards, John Stanier on drums and Trevor Dunn on bass.
