Travis Biggs | Deleted - Solar Funk | 1LP

Travis Biggs was a keyboardist who worked with Isaac Hayes in the late 1970s. He released two synth-driven albums of his own in that era, Challenge in 1976 on TB&C and Solar Funk in 1979 on the MCA subsidiary Source. He is best remembered for the much-sampled track Tibetan Serenity.

Solar Funk is a 1979 jazz-funk album by Travis Biggs, issued as a single vinyl LP by Demon Records in 2024 for Record Store Day. It combines new compositions with revised versions of earlier material from Challenge, and it includes Tibetan Serenity, which was sampled by J Dilla in the track Jay Dee 39. Liner notes are by Will Fox.
