U-Roy | Solid Gold | CD

U-Roy was a Jamaican vocalist whose rhythmic spoken delivery helped shape the language of reggae deejay recordings. His music places distinctive phrasing over instrumental grooves, giving voice, repetition and the interaction with established melodies a central role.

Solid Gold brings together a programme that includes Trenchtown Rock (Ft. Ziggy Marley), Man Next Door (Ft. Santigold), Rule the Nation (Ft. Shaggy). This CD edition presents the release in its physical format.
