U2 | Wide Awake In America (Ogv) | 1LP

U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin, formed in 1976. After Steve Lillywhite produced their first three albums, they hired Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno to produce The Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree, which put them onto charts all over the world. After the 80s ended they reinvented their sound with Achtung Baby, adding electronic elements to their rock music. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 as performers.

This is a four-track 12 inch EP on 33 1/3 RPM vinyl, released by Island Records in 2018 as a remastered reissue of a release originally issued in 1985. It combines two live performances of songs from the 1984 album The Unforgettable Fire with two B-sides from the same era, which had previously been available only in the United Kingdom. The collection covers live recordings and outtakes from the tour and album, dated 1984 to 1985.
