Various Artists | Cold and Bitter Tears: The Songs of Ted Hawkins | CD

Ted Hawkins was an American singer-songwriter whose music connected folk, blues and soul through a distinctive voice and direct songs. His catalogue includes personal writing shaped by difficult experiences and everyday observations.

This tribute collection brings other performers to Hawkins's songs. Its fifteen-track programme revisits his writing through different voices and arrangements, presenting interpretations of his repertoire rather than his original recordings.
