Vince Gill | OKIE | CD

Vince Gill is an American country singer-songwriter and guitarist whose work combines clear tenor vocals with detailed instrumental playing. His recordings draw on country, bluegrass and western swing traditions, placing melody and expressive phrasing at the centre of his songs.

Released in 2019, Okie presents a personal set of songs concerned with family, memory, faith and social questions. The album uses relatively restrained arrangements to keep Gill's storytelling and vocal interpretation in focus, rather than relying on elaborate production.
