Franz Welser-Möst & Wiener Philharmoniker | New Year’s Concert 2023 | Blu-ray

The Vienna Philharmonic is an Austrian orchestra closely associated with the city's symphonic and operatic traditions. Conductor Franz Welser-Möst brings experience across concert and opera repertoire to his work with the ensemble, including its internationally broadcast New Year's Concert.

This Blu-ray presents the Vienna Philharmonic's 2023 New Year's Concert conducted by Welser-Möst. Recorded in Vienna's Musikverein, the programme continues the concert's tradition of music by the Strauss family and their contemporaries, combining familiar forms with less frequently performed selections.
