Yawning Balch | Volume Four | CD

Yawning Balch grew out of a day of jamming in November 2022, when Bob Balch went to Joshua Tree with Yawning Man, intending to call the session Yawning Balch. No riffs were planned, and the band jammed for five hours and recorded enough material to fill two full-length LPs.

Volume Four is an album on a single CD, released on 29 May 2026 by Heavy Psych Sounds, in the stoner rock and psychedelic rock styles. Bob Balch and Gary Arce play guitar, Mario Lalli plays bass and Bill Stinson plays drums. The recording was captured on 20 April during a five hour jam session in Joshua Tree, California, with no overdubs.
