Almond, Marc | Shadows & Reflections | CD

Marc Almond is an English singer-songwriter who first became widely known as the vocalist of Soft Cell. His solo work extends from electronic pop into chanson, torch songs and orchestral arrangements, with theatrical phrasing and an interest in overlooked popular repertoire.

Released in 2017, Shadows and Reflections revisits the orchestral pop of the 1960s through selected cover versions. The arrangements place Almond's voice against strings and ensemble accompaniment, connecting his interest in dramatic song interpretation with the period's melodic songwriting.
