Bill Evans | Smile With Your Heart | CD

Bill Evans was an American jazz pianist whose playing brought harmonic subtlety and lyrical phrasing to the piano trio. His ensembles encouraged interaction between piano, bass and drums, allowing melody and improvisation to develop through close musical conversation.

Smile with Your Heart gathers selections from Resonance Records' archival Bill Evans releases. The programme brings together different sessions and concert performances, offering a cross-section of the pianist's trio work through recordings originally issued in the label's separate archive collections.
