Blur | Parklife | 2LP

Blur are an English band whose recordings helped define the Britpop era before moving into broader alternative and experimental territory. Damon Albarn's character-based writing and the group's guitar, bass and drum interplay connect British pop traditions with changing contemporary influences.

Originally released in 1994, Parklife combines portraits of everyday British life with songs drawing on pop, dance and guitar rock. Its varied arrangements and contrasting moods give the album a wider scope than its title track alone, capturing a central period in Blur's catalogue.
