Faith Evans | First Lady | CD

Faith Evans is an American R&B singer-songwriter whose work draws on gospel vocal traditions and contemporary soul. Her recordings combine layered harmonies with expressive lead singing, using both ballads and groove-led songs to explore relationships and personal experience.

Released in 2005, The First Lady places Evans' voice within a mixture of contemporary R&B and soul-influenced production. The album follows her earlier Bad Boy releases and marks a new label period, while keeping vocal performance and relationship-centred writing at its core.
