John Coltrane | The Classic Albums Collection (4cd) | 4CD
£15.00
John Coltrane is an American saxophonist and jazz composer, born in Hamlet, North Carolina in 1926 and died in 1967. His early recordings were rooted in bebop and hardbop, but his enduring legacy rests mainly on the modal jazz pioneered by his classic quartet from 1961 to 1965 and on the free jazz he explored late in his career. As his life progressed, his music and outlook became increasingly spiritual.
The Classic Albums Collection is a four CD box set compilation by John Coltrane, issued by Enlightenment with the country listed as US. The release is categorised as jazz, in the bop and modal styles.
