John Martyn | Solid Air | VINYL

John Martyn was a British singer and guitarist whose expressive voice and innovative use of guitar effects connected folk with jazz, blues and dub. His music moves between intimate songs and atmospheric improvisation.

Solid Air places John Martyn’s husky vocals and fluid guitar within a distinctive meeting of folk, blues and jazz. Its spacious arrangements move from intimate songs to hypnotic rhythms, giving the album a quietly exploratory character.
