Basso Valdambrini | Basso Valdambrini Quintet | VINYL

Gianni Basso and Oscar Valdambrini were leading figures in post-war Italian jazz, celebrated for the fluent dialogue between tenor saxophone and trumpet. Their quintet recordings combine hard-bop drive with poised melodic interplay.

Basso Valdambrini Quintet presents the tenor saxophone and trumpet partnership in a small-group setting, where fluent soloing and close ensemble interplay shape the programme.

Edition: 1LP. Label: Jolly Records.
