Uncle Tupelo | No Depression | CD

Uncle Tupelo were an American band whose fusion of punk directness with country and folk traditions helped establish alternative country. Their recordings balance rural imagery, restless guitars and emotionally unguarded songwriting.

No Depression brings rough-edged punk playing into contact with country and folk songwriting. The bonus-track programme expands the album’s portrait of Uncle Tupelo’s early sound.

Edition: CD. Label: Music On CD.
