Eugene McDaniels | Outlaw | CD

Eugene McDaniels was an American singer and songwriter whose work developed from popular ballads into adventurous, politically engaged soul. His recordings connect jazz phrasing with folk, funk and unconventional arrangements.

Outlaw takes Eugene McDaniels’ writing into a politically engaged meeting of folk, soul and rock. Varied arrangements and pointed lyrics give the album a restless character, revealing a different side of the singer from his earlier popular recordings.
