Miles Davis | Transmission Impossible (3cd) | 3CD

Miles Davis was an American trumpeter, bandleader and composer, born in Alton, Illinois on 26 May 1926 and died in Santa Monica, California on 28 September 1991. His career spanned five decades and included several major developments in jazz, among them the creation of the hard bop style in the mid-1950s and, in the late 1960s, the introduction of electronic instruments and rock and funk rhythms into his music. Around 1975 he took a hiatus over health and personal problems, returning in 1980.

Transmission Impossible is an unofficial 3 disc CD compilation released in 2016 by Eat To The Beat. Its recordings are live FM broadcasts made in Rotterdam, Boston, Tokyo and Fukuoka between 1967 and 1985. Credits include Herbie Hancock on piano, Wayne Shorter on tenor saxophone and Miles Davis on trumpet and organ.
