Neil Ardleys New Jazz Orchest | Camden 70 | CD

Neil Ardley's New Jazz Orchestra was formed in 1963 as the New Jazz Orchestra, and at the time of these recordings it included Barbara Thompson, Mike Gibbs and Harry Beckett, plus musicians from Colosseum. Neil Ardley left in 1971, and the band disbanded not long after, reappearing for a one-off concert in 1993.

This is a single-disc live album recorded at the Jeanetta Cochrane Theatre, London, on 26 May 1970 during the Camden Festival, released in 2024 on BGO Records. Neil Ardley directed the band, with players including Barbara Thompson, Dave Greenslade and Jon Hiseman.
