Aretha Franklin / Royal Philharmonic Orchestra | A Brand New Me | CD

Aretha Franklin was an American singer and pianist whose work helped define modern soul music. Her recordings connect gospel-rooted vocals with rhythm and blues, popular song and richly arranged band performances.

A Brand New Me pairs Aretha Franklin's vocals with arrangements performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The CD programme includes Think, I Say a Little Prayer and Respect, revisiting familiar songs in an orchestral setting.
