Leonskaja, Elisabeth | Schubert The Complete Piano S | 8CD

Franz Schubert was an Austrian composer of the late Classical and early Romantic eras, born on 31 January 1797 in Himmelpfortgrund, today in Vienna, and died on 19 November 1828 in Vienna. Despite his short lifetime, he left behind more than 600 secular vocal works, mainly lieder, seven complete symphonies, sacred music, operas, incidental music and a large body of piano and chamber music.

This is an eight disc box set of Schubert's complete solo piano sonatas performed by Elisabeth Leonskaja, released on Warner Classics on 26 August 2022. The early sonatas were recorded in 2017 and the late sonatas in 2015, both at the Sendesaal in Bremen, Germany.
