God First - Mr Jukes | God First - Mr Jukes | CD

Mr Jukes is the solo recording project of Jack Steadman, also known for his work with Bombay Bicycle Club. The project brings his interest in sampling, jazz and soul into a collaborative setting, connecting detailed production with the voices and playing of guest musicians.

God First introduces Mr Jukes through Jack Steadman's interest in soul, funk, hip hop and jazz. Guests include Charles Bradley, Lianne La Havas and Horace Andy, giving the carefully constructed production different vocal perspectives. The programme connects sampled ideas with collaborative performances rather than a conventional band album.
