Taake | Avvik | CD

Taake is a black metal band from Bergen, Norway, founded in 1995 by Hoest (Ørjan Stedjeberg). The band began as Thule in 1993 and changed its name to Taake in 1995, a name that refers to the fog around the seven mountains of Bergen. The profile describes Taake as a solo project of Hoest, who often handles all instruments on recordings and uses session musicians depending on the project.

This is a one CD compilation by Taake, titled Avvik, released by Dark Essence Records in Norway on 2 July 2021. It gathers tracks previously released only on vinyl splits and includes an acoustic version of Nattestid Ser Porten Vid 1 that is exclusive to this release. The pressing is limited to 3000 copies.
